There are just four COVID-19 patients hospitalised in Galway who are in Intensive Care according to the latest HSE figures.
As of Wednesday evening there were three COVID-19 patients in the ICU at University Hospital Galway, and one at Portiuncula Hospital.
Overall there are 12 confirmed cases at UHG, and another four at Portiuncula in Ballinasloe, a slight increase on yesterday’s figures.
There are also three suspected hospital cases for whom test results are being awaited, two at UHG and one in Ballinasloe.
Nationwide there were 472 cases in Irish hospitals as of yesterday evening, of whom 108 were in the ICU.
Just 17 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Galway yesterday, out of 566 nationwide.
