Galway County Council has granted planning approval for a former pub in Ballygar to be converted to retail usage.
Approval was given to executors of the estate of Mary Keane for a change of use to the former Keane’s pub in Ballygar.
The storage sheds to the rear of the building will also be demolished and replaced with an extension to the main building as part of this project.
Planning permission for the project was granted by the county council with eight standard conditions attached.
Before work commences, details of the proposed signage for the front of the building must be agreed on in writing with the county council.
No public submissions were made to Galway County Council in relation to this project.
