The number of people in Galway who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 has increased by 23.
There are now 260 cases in the county, as of midnight on Tuesday.
Forty-three more people have died in the Republic after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
This brings the number of deaths related to COVID-19 in the state to 486.
There have been 724 new confirmed cases of the disease, bringing the total number of cases to 13,271.
Of these, 629 are new cases and 95 are from older test results from Germany.
The people who died in the past day were mainly in the east while there were four deaths in the west and five the south of the country.
Twenty-two were males and 21 were females and the median age of today’sreported deaths is 84.
