There were no new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Galway today, as 26 more people are reported to have died from the disease.
The total number of deaths caused by Covid-19 in the republic now stands at 1,087, with two suspected deaths removed from the tally after validation of results.
An additional 701 new cases were also confirmed by the HPSC on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases nationally to 19,262.
Galway remains at the lower end of the scale with just 332 confirmed cases, making up 1.8% of the national total.
Data from the HPSC as of Friday night, gathered on 18,431 cases, shows that 57% of people afflicted are female, and 43% are male.
Of those confirmed cases, 2,576 required hospitalisation, while 349 have been admitted to the ICU.
Dublin accounts for half of all cases in the country with 9,224, followed by Cork with 1,110 cases (6%).
