Coronavirus: 27% increase in confirmed cases in Galway

The latest county breakdown of coronavirus cases shows that there were 57 people diagnosed with COVID-19 as of midnight, Wednesday.

This is a 27% increase on the day before, up 12 from 45 cases on the 24th of March.

The Department of Health has announced that there has been increase of 302 in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Republic.

Three more people have sadly died as a result of the virus in the state.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Republic now stands at 2,121- with 22 deaths.

Thirty-five people in Ireland have now died from COVID-19 with 2,396 confirmed cases on the island.
