The COPE Galway charity shop is on to a winner with a golden lucky horseshoe necklace up for auction ahead of the Galway Races.

The 18 karat white-gold necklace is embedded with 21 diamonds and hangs from a white gold chain, with a value of €1,500.

This stunning pice of jewellery would make a fine accessory for the Galway Races and is currently open for bids in an online auction running to midnight July 24, 2019 with bidding .

COPE Galway Shop Manager, Allison Curragh said, “This necklace is a rarity and we are very grateful to the donor, who knew this piece was valuable.”

“We are excited to hold our first auction and really hope the necklace achieves a high price, which will go directly to our services.”

The COPE Galway Charity Shop is located on St. Augustine Street and sells women’s and men’s clothes and accessories, along with CDs, books & bric-a-brac.

It is fully stocked with a wide selection of hats, fascinators, gorgeous dresses, shoes and accessories to transform prospective racegoers into a perfectly styled lady or gentleman.

All funds raised will go directly to COPE Galway’s services for people experiencing homelessness, domestic abuse and its senior support services.
