Upgrade works to a water treatment plant in Connemara will disrupt the water supply to residents in the area during this week.

The water treatment plant at Spiddal is due to have upgrades done over two days this week.

According to Irish Water works will start at 8am on Tuesday, January 22 and continue until 6pm on Wednesday evening.

During this period people in Spiddal and the surrounding areas may see their water interrupted or cut off.
