An event was held in the Menlo Park Hotel this week to acknowledge the work of Galway City Council’s Litter Management Unit.
Mayor of the City of Galway, Cllr Eddie Hoare hosted the event following the positive results from the recent Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) survey for Galway City.
Galway City was recognised by IBAL as ‘clean to European Norms’.
It was one of only two cities in the country to achieve this status in 2023.
