The streets of Galway City will be filled with cyclists later this month as children go on a guided cycle through the streets, bridges, along the canal and then back to Fr. Burke park where the cycle begins.
It will take place on World Car Free Day, Saturday 22 September, at 10:30am at Fr. Burke Park and it ends at 2pm back at Galway’s Westend.
Kidical Mass 2018 is a free family cycling event organised by An Taisce Green-Schools, Connemara Greenway Alliance, Galway’s Westend, Galway City Council and An Garda Siochana.
There will be rolling road closures with Garda support. Once back in Fr Burke Park, the bikes will be parked up and there will be music, face painting, a Bouncy Castle and plenty of bike games.
High Vis vests are required as safety is a priority and helmets are essential. All children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
