Delays are building on the Quincentenary Bridge and on the Headford Road as traffic lights are out of order.
The lights are out of action on the eastern end of Quincentenary Bridge, and around the Woodquay area.
Gardaí are en route to direct traffic and motorists are being advised to be careful in these areas.
It is not yet known when the lights will be working again.
