Galway TD Seán Canney has said that remedial works are needed on a dangerous N84 junction near Headford to prevent a dangerous accident.
The Independent TD said that the junction at Cloughanover National School is very dangerous, and that he has written to the county council to highlight this issue.
“We need a refuge in the centre of the road to protect cars turning right because it is a very busy junction on a very busy road.”
“This must be dealt with as a matter of urgency before a serious accident happens,” Seán Canney said.
Deputy Canney said that Galway County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland should install a lane for cars turning off from either direction.
