A burst water main has disrupted the water supply of multiple townlands across north Galway today from Kilconly to Headford.
Galway County Council has said that the water supply in the area has been affected by a burst water main at Carheens, Belclare.
This is causing water outages for homes and businesses in Kilconly, Loggawannia, Liss, Ballyfruit, Shrule and down to Headford town.
Repairs crews are working on the issue, but no time has been given yet for when people can expect their water to be restored.
A traffic management plan is in place while repair works are being carried out by Irish Water.
“Galway County Council working in partnership with Irish Water wish to apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused by these emergency works,” the council said.
