Homes and businesses in the Claddagh are of Galway City may be experiencing water outages this morning due to a burst water mains.
Irish says that a burst main, notified at approximately 11:20am this morning, may cause outages in the Claddagh, Grattan Park, and surrounding areas.
Repair works have an estimated completion time of 1:30pm this afternoon.
Work is also ongoing today to repair a burst main in An Cheathrú Rua reported on Thursday, which may disrupt the water supply there, as well as Caisle, Doire an Fhéich, Leitir Mucú and surrounding areas.
A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of these works.
People affected by these are advised that it may take 2 – 3 hours after work is completed for their full water supply to be restored.
Updates on both situations can be found on Irish Water’s Supply and Service website page, or by contacting Irish Water’s twitter account @IWCare.
