A burst water main is causing a water outage to multiple areas in and around Athenry town this afternoon.
Irish Water reported that a burst main was causing a water outage to residents of New Line, Ballydavid, Tuam Road, Athenry and surrounding areas at around 11:30am this morning.
Repairs are underway and are currently expected to be complete by 4pm this afternoon.
A traffic management system will be in place in the affected part of Athenry while work is underway.
People affected by this are advised that it may take 2 – 3 hours after repairs are completed for their water supply to return.
