The body of the missing Galway man Conor Burke was found this weekend.
Conor (24) had been missing since the early hours of Thursday morning to the great concern of his family.
He was last seen at around 1:45am on Valentine’s Day at Abbeygate street.
His body was recovered from the water near NUI Galway after an extensive search of the Corrib area.
In a statement the Oranmore Maree Coastal Seach Unit said “We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Conor Burke. May he rest in peace.”
He will be laid to rest tomorrow in Terryland Cemetary after a 12 o’clock funeral at Church of the Resurrection, Ballinfoyle.
The house will be strictly private according to a notice on RIP.ie
His family ask that any donations be made to the RNLI and Oranmore Maree Coastal Seach Unit in recognition of their efforts to bring Conor home.
