Bluebird Care is adding 22 positions in Galway for nurses, carers, care coordinators, and nurse managers as it takes on new contracts.
Recently, Bluebird secured tenders to provide care for the elderly at all nine Community Healthcare Organisations in Ireland.
To meet these new contracts, Bluebird Care is hiring 450 new staff across its 26 offices around Ireland, adding to the 1,800 people it already employs.
These will be care positions rooted in the local community, with a variety of full-time and part-time jobs available.
Managing Director of Bluebird Care Brian MacGoey said they were delighted to be awarded contracts from all nine CHO’s.
“Winning nine out of nine contracts with the Community Health Organisations further endorses Bluebird Care’s commitment to standards of care and our ability to attract the best people.”
“We are committed to providing high-quality, safe and effective care in our client’s own home which is, more often than not, their preferred place of care.”
Community Health Organisations provide those healthcare services that fall outside of the acute hospital system including Primary Care, Social Care, Mental Health, and Health & Wellbeing Services.
They’re funded by the HSE, but services are delivered through agencies and organisations within local communities, as close to people’s homes as possible.
Galway falls within CHO 2, along with Mayo and Roscommon. Bluebird is adding 20 new jobs at its office covering Sligo and Mayo, and 10 in the one for Roscommon, Longford, and Westmeath.
Bluebird Care provides health and social care for people within their own home on behalf of the HSE and other agencies.
The new jobs that Bluebird is adding to meet these contracts will be created over the next 12 months.
