Galway Daily news Extra train services added for supporters going to Galway v Limerick semi-final

All rail services from Dublin to Galway are experiencing an 80 minute delay today.

Irish rail have said that all services via Heuston are being delayed due to a line fault between Sallins and Newbridge this morning.

However services to Heuston from Galway are still running this morning, though they will be experiencing a 30 minute delay.

In an earlier warning this morning it was said that services would experience an hour long delay, but that has evidently worsened.

While Irish Rail have been putting out updates via twitter this morning, there is no indication on their webpage about the delays.

Many passengers reacting to the news on twitter have expressed their anger at the lack of information.

One passenger who said she was stuck waiting at Newbridge to get to Heuston said “could you also please update your app to actual real time delay”.

Others said that board at Heuston station was not updating with the delayed times.

Irish rail is updating with fresh information, but there is no word yet when regular service is expected to be resumed without delays.
