University Hospital Galway is the second most overcrowded hospital in Ireland today with 51 people on trolleys.
The INMO’s daily Trolley/Ward Watch figures show that 497 patients are being forced to wait on trolleys in Ireland’s acute hospitals this morning.
UH Limerick is only narrowly worse off than Galway with 56 patients going without a bed.
Then it’s UHG (51), Cork University Hospital (43), and South Tipperary General Hospital (41) as the usual offenders take their places.
Back in Galway there are a further three people who are without beds at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
This marks two days in a row where UHG has been the second most overcrowded hospital after there were 47 patients without beds yesterday.
