Galway Local Enterprise Office is looking for traders and craftspeople to bring their wares to the 7th annual Local Food and Craft Fair.
At this free, two-day festival craft lovers in Galway can wander through the stalls and see what others’ hands have made with care, either professionally or just out of love of the craft.
Every year dozens of traders bring a kaleidoscope of locally produced foods including jams, jellies, chutneys, cakes, cheeses, smoked salmon, a great sampling of other culture’s foods, juices, poitÃn and microbrews.
If you’re not looking for something to sink your teeth into there’s still the handmade ceramics, leather goods, wooden products, household items and much more.
There’ll be plenty on hand to sample, buy as a gift, or inspire people to craft something of their own.
Applications are now open for traders who want to set up a stall and can be submitted through the Local Enterprise office.
All applications must be in by August 13, and all applicants will be contacted no later than September 21.
In order to exhibit at the event traders must pay €160 which will give them Fiday set up, an opening reception on Friday, and trading on Saturday and Sunday.
Under their fee participants will be provided with power, a named plate, spotlights, and a dressed 6ft x 2ft trestle table.
This year’s Local Food and Craft fair is on at the Black Box Theatre on Saturday and Sunday December 1 – 2.
