An Offaly woman based in Galway has said she is ‘delighted’ to have made it into the Top 12 of this year’s Miss Universe Ireland contest.
Abi Yusuff, origingally from Edenderry in County Offaly, has been living in Galway for a number of years after moving here to study accounting at GMIT.
She then went on to work in the finance sector in Claregalway as a trainee financial advisor.

“At the moment, I currently work in a Medical device company called Medtronics,” said the Miss Universe Ireland hopeful.
“We manufacture ventilators and ship them worldwide, helping during the Covid-19 pandemic.”
Abi was chosen as a finalist from 200 applicants and hopes to be chosen as Miss Universe Ireland in December, to proceed to represent her country at the Miss Universe pageant.
“I will be representing my town, city, county and country – and I couldn’t be more delighted with this. I’m looking forward to this new beginning and journey,” she said.
