The Galmont Hotel & Spa recently completely a major expansion and refurbishment of its gym and leisure facilities under new management.

Newly christened as the Energize Fitness & Leisure Facility, The Galmont has added significantly to facilities that were already present for a fitness and wellbeing experience for people of all ages and levels.

Under the management of Ronan Moore, the new facility includes additions such as two new fitness studios, a HIIT Room, along with the latest Precor and Exigo equipment.

For people looking for a more guided experience, Energise is offering members classes across a range of disciplines for every fitness level.

When asked what charterised their service Ronan said, “At Energize, we, as a team of fitness professionals, aspire to deliver tailored and personalised service and training  for all members and guests to our newly revamped and luxurious, motivating and expansive  surroundings.”

He added that the changes they’ve introduced make them the “ideal” fitness centre for Galway city.

“We’ve responded to new trends with this recent investment of in excess of €100,000 in high quality facilities and equipment, and introduced an excellent range of classes,” Ronan said.

These new additions build on the impressive facilities that were already present such as an 18-metre indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and outdoor hot tub looking over Lough Atalia.

Standing alongside it is the wonderful Spirit One Spa, where guests can relax their muscles and unwind after a workout.

Energise Fitness is just adjacent to the Galmont Hotel & Spa, with membership starting from €40 per month.

The Galmot unveiled its revamped fitness and leisure facilities at a recent breakfast launch where local sports and fitness buffs shared their approach to staying in shape.

The event was hosted by sports commentator, performance coach and Galway Girl, Máire Treasa Ní Cheallaigh alongside Galway football and hurling stars, Johnny Heaney and Padraic Mannion, Ladies GAA Captain Tracey Leonard and Connacht Rugby’s Dave Heffernan.

The Galmont Hotel & Spa General Manager, Stefan Lundstrom, said the revamped Energise Fitness is just one part of a €1 million investment in upgrading the hotel’s facilities including the bedrooms, Meetings Rooms, Ground Floor and Veranda Lounge areas.

“Investment in our Hotel is key to continuing to deliver a best in class guest experience, every time,” he finished.
