The best dressed woman at Ladies Day in this year’s Galway Races could take home a whopping €10,000 cash prize.
The Best Dressed Lady competition has a new sponsor for this year’s races with the Connacht Hospitality Group.
The overall best dressed lady will win €10,000, with another €3,000 cash prize up for grabs for whoever has the Best Hat.
The Connacht Hospitality Group and Galway Races have announced a three year partnership for the Ladies Day competitions.
This will start with the much awaited return to festivities at Ballybrit this summer, when the races of old return after two years of closed doors and limited crowds.
Eveanna Ryan, Director and Sales and Marketing for the Connacht Hospitality Group said that this is an exciting partnership for them.
“The Connacht Hotel has always been synonymous with the Monday racing for a number of years with our continued sponsorship of the QR handicap, but this partnership will give us the opportunity to showcase the entire group.”

The Connacht Hospitality Group is a family run Galway business that comprises of a bevy of well loved hotels and bars across the city.
Judging the Best Dressed Lady competitions on the day is Head Judge and well-known stylist Mandy Maher who will be joined by the Galway Player, Kieran O’Malley, Digital Marketing Manager for the CHG.
