Bushmills are holding a whiskey and tea blending event in Galway as part of their new collaboration with specialist tea makers Suki Tea.
The collaboration will see co-founder of the Irish tea company, Oscar Woolley, join Bushmills to host a series of whiskey and tea blending masterclass events across Ireland in April and May.
‘Black Bush Blended’ will take place at Tribeton on Merchants Road at 7:30pm on May 2, offering whiskey lovers “an opportunity to truly understand the synergy between the arts of blending whiskey and tea”.
Guests will take part in an educational tasting session on some of Bushmills’ best loved Irish whiskeys, led by the Bushmills Brand Ambassador, before hearing Oscar’s story on how he turned a love of tea into a career.
Attendees will then enjoy a tea tasting session and finish the night creating their own personalised tea blends.
Specially created Black Bush drinks, including a tea-based cocktail, will also be served throughout the event.
The collaboration will also see the introduction of a Black Bush inspired, loose leaf tea designed by Oscar.
This event also marks the return of Bushmills’ #BlackBushStories campaign which aims to celebrate those who think outside the boundaries of their field.

Ten Black Bush Blend gift packs (including a tin of the limited edition Black Bush Blend, a bottle of Black Bush, a Suki Tea x Bushmills enamel mug and a black stump teapot) are also available to win.
Update: This article previously stated that the event was at 2pm in Tribeton. The correct starting time is 7:30pm.
