An Púcán is one of the top ten most popular pubs in Ireland according to Instagram
Overland Ireland compiled a list of where the most popular pubs in Ireland are going by how many photos are geotagged there on Instagram, and Galway’s award winning An Púcán made it into the top ten.
An Púcán is known for its snazzy beer garden tucked away out back which earned it the Best Outdoor Space of any pub in Ireland at the Bar of the Year Awards in 2018.
It’s also a great spot to catch some live sports on match nights, as testified by being declared the Best Sports Bar in Ireland at the Irish Pubs Global Awards last year as well.
According to Overland Ireland An Púcán has been geotagged in 8,276 photos on Instagram.

The Temple Bar, Dublin
Sitting right in the heart of Dublin’s Temple Bar District, this pub may trace its history back to the 1840s but the bright and flowery exterior seems made for social media.
The Temple Bar might just be the most iconic spot in Ireland’s biggest nightlife scene.
And Instagram would certainly agrees with a staggering 520,313 photos of this pub.
Café En Seine, Dublin
Another Dublin hotspot, Café En Seine boast multiple bars, dining areas, and event spaces sprawled across three floors on Dawson Street.
A multi million euro do over that includes an indoor Parisian street garden and an elegant glass ceiling has made this a snazzy spot to snap a pic for 39,358 Instagram users.
The Bernard Shaw, Dublin
For a more artsy crowd the Bernard Shaw features layers of colourful graffiti decorating the walls of the outdoor area appealling to Instagram crowd.
And the decadent Eatyard, including offerings from Galway’s own Handsome Burger and a busy live music venue at the Big Blues Bus at the Bodytonic bar round this spot out for a wild night.
