56 Central Restaurant, home to the famous Chicken Melt, have recently expanded their menu to include some brand new cheese melts.

Fans of the Cajun Chicken Melt at the Shop Street restaurant will no doubt be pleased that the new menu has entire section devoted to melts.

Cheese lovers can chose between toasties such as the Vegan Tofu Delight Melt made with smokey maple hickory tofu, oven roasted tomato and melted vegan cheese, the Kickin’ Chicken & Bacon Melt made with chicken, bacon, melted cheddar cheese and chipotle mayo and the ‘Auld’ Country Classic Melt made with home-cooked ham, melted cheddar cheese, tomato, onion and mayo.

Continuing to serve up a mixture of salads, sandwiches, burgers, pastas and delicious daily specials, the madeover menu also sees the addition of some super tasty burger options.

These include the Head Chef’s Favourite Burger constructed using 8oz of Irish beef burger, loaded with beer battered onion rings, black pudding, beef tomato, cheese, lettuce, chipotle mayo and served with ‘skin on’ fries.

Or for a vegan option try the new and improved Vegan Buddha Bowl made with sweet potato hummus, roasted broccoli, beetroot hummus, sun blushed tomato giant couscous, marinated olives, mixed leaves and seeds, all served with an organic pita bread.

Open seven days a week, the new menu is available Monday to Thursday from 12pm until 6pm, Thursday to Saturday from 12pm until late and Sundays from 1pm until 5pm.

Located in the heart of Galway on Shop Street above OMG @ Zhivago, 56 Central Restaurant boasts five beautiful dining areas including the rooftop Buddha Zen Garden.

Since opening in 2015, 56 Central Restaurant has established itself as a centre of high quality casual dining where the team do their best to bring real food to the table.

It has breakfast, lunch, dinner, and set menus, as well a catering menu and the venue itself is also available for private hire.
