A somewhat tongue-in-cheek Facebook event called “SneachtaSesh” has been set up by a group calling themselves “The Right to Bear Cans”.
The event description reads:
“Fridge full? There’s serious cooling weather out. Crack open a can and pack the rest in the snow.
The place is covered in white powder…and it’s awful frosty out too. No bag shortage this time.”
Celebrate the Beast from the East by doing what Galway does best: drinking in public!
With nearly everything closed due to the weather, what else is there to do?
