Galway Daily life & style Galway Community Circus put on acrobatics performance with duo Ali and Henrik

Galway Community Circus are hosting a show of riveting acrobatics by performing duo Ali & Henrik this weekend.

“Two acrobats create a world between the harmonious and the absurd. In this world, lines are blurred between human and nature”

“Ali Stanger and Henrik Gard create a mutual acrobatic language of finesse and honesty. A fun, thoughtful and humorous display of rich imagery and dynamic riveting movement.”

Ali & Henrik are two incredible acrobats from the UK and Sweden fresh off a run of their show at the Dublin Fringe Festival where they were nominated for the ‘Best Performers’ award.

They’re in Galway for a once off show at St. Joseph’s Community Centre in Shantalla to help raise funds for the Community Circus.

To see their spectacular display of acrobatics and beauty, come on down this Saturday evening at 7pm, tickets are €5 at the door.

Also on this weekend, Ali and Henrik are hosting acrobatics workshops on Saturday and Sunday, September 29 & 30 from 10am to 4pm.

The pair will focus on duo acrobatic, standing tricks and L-basing, with the odd handstands and tumbling thrown in.

Attendees will work in groups to safely make their way towards performing hand to hand and dynamic acrobatics.

These classes are suitable for people who already have some some experience in acrobatics, gymnastics or other physical circus disciplines.

If that seems your style, places can still be booked here.
