A man is due before the court in Loughrea this afternoon in connection with a €56,000 cannabis seizure on Wednesday.
A man in his 30s was arrested after Gardaí carried out two connected drug searches in the Roscommon area on Wednesday.
During the first search, a grow house was found with 30 cannabis plants worth €24,000, along with drug paraphernalia.
A follow up search netted cannabis herb valued at €32,050, and one man arrested at the scene.
The man has since been charged is due to come before a special sitting of Loughrea District Court this morning at 2:30pm today.
The searches were part of Operation Tara, launched last month to tackle drug dealing in cities, towns and villages across the country.
