Man caused thousands in damages to car dealership

A man admitted to causing thousands of euros worth of damage at a car dealership in Galway City in a spree of criminal damage.

Michael Reilly (62) appeared before Galway Circuit Court this week, where he entered a plea to four counts of criminal damage.

The plea was accepted on a full facts basis for the remaining counts on the indictment.

Reilly, of Tawin, Maree, Oranmore, pleaded guilty to four counts of criminal damage done to cars at VP Motors on Queen Street, Galway on February 2 of this year.

The total damages from the charges he pleaded to came to €5,978. The total cost from all the criminal damage charges at the car dealership on the indictment came to over €14,600.

The case will next come before the court on December 16 for sentencing.
