A man has appeared in court to face a sexual assault charge which allegedly occurred in Galway City in 2019.
The 31 year old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was brought before a sitting of Galway District Court today.
The court heard evidence of his being arrested, charged, and cautioned today.

The offence is alleged to have occurred at a residential address in Galway City in 2019.
The Director of Public Prosecutions has directed that the case should be tried on indictment.
