A community centred event in Clifden will celebrate Dr Brendan Flynn and the enormous contribution he has made to the educational, cultural and economic life of Connemara.
The event on Saturday, 25 November is being organised on behalf of the people of Connemara and will be hosted by Connemara Chamber of Commerce.
The afternoon event will pay a heartfelt community tribute to the man who has driven the Clifden Arts Festival, the longest running community arts festival in the country, into its 47th year.
Doors and a reception from 1.40pm at the Station House Theatre in Clifden, Co. Galway.
The tribute event is expected to last approximately two hours with light refreshments afterwards in the Clifden Station House Hotel.
All are welcome and no booking is required.
