A world-class line-up of top trad talent has been announced for Gradam Ceoil TG4 2022 including Paddy Glackin, Diarmuid Ó Meachair and Dolores Keane.
Known as ‘the Oscars of traditional music’, the live concert and awards show will take place at the National Concert Hall, Dublin on Easter Sunday 17 April at 9.30pm.
The event will be broadcast live on TG4 at 9.30pm on the day, and is available for people to view across the world on tg4.ie.
2022 Gradam recipients will be joined in live performances on stage by their own special musical guests, including the Dolores Keane Band, Cathy Jordan, Paddy McEvoy, Rory McGorman and Robbie Hannon.
The highly anticipated live awards show will be hosted by TG4 presenters Doireann Nà Ghlacáin and Páidà Ó Lionáird, and will also feature live performances from the seven Gradam Ceoil 2022 recipients, who will be recognised for their talent and contribution to traditional Irish music.
TG4 Gradam Ceoil 2022 recipients include: Musician, Paddy Glackin; Young Musician 2022, Diarmuid Ó Meachair; Lifetime Achievement, Dolores Keane; Singer, Sarah Ghriallais; Outstanding Contribution, Edwina Guckian; Music Group, Skara Brae:  Composer, Connie O’Connell.
A range of VIP guest presenters will also take to the stage to present the recipients with their awards these include President Michael D. Higgins, Stephen Rea, Mary Black, Liam O’Connor, Vincent Woods and Lillis Ó Laoire.
