Galway will be getting hordes of visitors from next week as the returning arts festival kicks off, and a fleet of free e-bikes are also back to make getting around easier.

Following a terrific response last year, Flogas and Brite Mobility have once again
saddled up to deliver a larger fleet of festival e-wheels for Galway International Arts
Festival 2022.

Organisers, artists, accredited staff and ticketholders will be able to zip around Galway city free of charge on thirty-five carbon-neutral e-bikes during the festival run.

Bikes can be found across Galway city and can be hired from 5am – 12.30am, with users able to find and claim them using the Brite app.

Colin Barry, founder of Brite Mobility said, “Brite are steadfastly committed to providing alternative transport options across Ireland and we are delighted to be partnering with our friends at Flogas on this initiative again this year.”

“Festival goers can fly across town on demand without having to take a taxi or wait for a bus and the hardworking crew and volunteers at the festival will use our cargo ebikes and mopeds to help deliver the largest and best GIAF yet.”

Flogas is also sponsoring a short series of Brite’s Bites festival-themed podcasts, which will be available to hear during the festival.

John Rooney, managing director of Flogas, energy partner for GIAF, said, “We launched the free festival e-wheels with Brite Mobility last year and they just took off.”

“They were so well received, so naturally we’re delighted to team up again with Brite for GIAF 2022, which is promising to be an ‘electric’ event.”
