Omniplex Cinema Group has launched a brand new state-of-the-art cinema in Ballinasloe.
The 5-screen cinema features a auditorium complete with 15-metre-wide screen, electric recliner seats and DTS:X™ Immersive Audio.
All five screens feature the latest ‘Barco next generation LASER projection technology’.
Ballinasloe Omniplex officially opened on Friday 12 May and will provide cinema lovers access to a unique and luxury cinema experience for many years.
Mark Anderson, Director of Omniplex Cinemas, said they were delighted to open the newest cinema in Ballinasloe – their second cinema in Galway.
“Our MAXX RECLINE auditorium is our most comfortable yet with electric reclining armchairs and DTS:X™ Immersive Audio, it simply must be experienced to be believed,” he said.
Ballinasloe Omniplex is the third opened by the company in the last six months, including a similar 5-screen multiplex in Mullingar, and ‘The Avenue’; a 9-screen cinema in Belfast, complete with in-seat dining service, café and bar.
Construction of the group’s 38th cinema is currently underway in their recently acquired Scotch Hall Shopping Centre in Drogheda.
