Met Éireann has issued a potato blight advisory which came into effect this afternoon.
All counties in the State are affected by the blight warning, which will be lifted on Monday at 7pm.
Met Éireann said that from Saturday afternoon until Tuesday evening, weather conditions conductive to the spread of potato blight will affect many parts of the south, southwest and west, with some potential for these conditions in the midlands and east.
There will be opportunities for spraying today, Friday, and there will be further limited opportunities in the morning hours of Saturday away from southern coastal counties.
The Department of Agriculture also issued a condition orange high fire risk valid until midday on Monday.
