A motorist driving at 113kmh on Bóthar na dTreabh at Ballinfoyle was among those nabbed by Gardaí during the February bank holiday weekend in a nationwide road safety operation which saw almost 200 people arrested for drink and drug driving.
One person died in a fatal collision on Irish roads over the weekend, and a further nine crashes took place that resulted in nine serious and life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí carried out 1,248 checkpoints across the country between 7am last Friday and 7am on Tuesday as part of the operation.
Of the 196 people arrested for driving under the influence, 123 were alcohol related and 73 were drugs related.
Fixed charge offences for other road offences during the period included mobile phones (216), learner unaccompanied drivers (123) and seatbelts (69).
A total of 460 vehicles were also detained under section 41 Road Traffic Act for offences such as unaccompanied learner driver, no driving licence, no insurance and no tax.
During this period, Go-Safe cameras checked the speed of 393,626 vehicles.
One of the most notable speeding offences was a driver doing 165 kmh in a 120 kmh zone on the M18 at Killeenhugh, Kinvara.
