The two men arrested last night after gardaí seized €166,000 worth of cannabis in Aughrim have been charged.
The men, both in their 30s, are due to appear before a special sitting of Galway District Court this evening.
Gardaí seized cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €146,000 and €20,000 worth of cannabis herb on Saturday evening at a property in Aughrim, between Loughrea and Ballinasloe.
The men were arrested at the scene in connection with the investigation.
