There are now 868 Ukrainian students enrolled in schools across Galway, according to the latest figures from the Department of Education.
Of those, 555 are in primary schools and 313 pupils are in post-primary schools in the county.
Nationally, 8,823 Ukrainians are now enrolled in primary schools while 4,930 pupils have enrolled in secondary schools.
Regional Education and Language Teams across Ireland are ensuring that information flows are in place between schools, local education support services and national support structures in relation to people arriving from Ukraine.
