Galway City Councillor Mike Cubbard has asked the council to roll out the big screen at Eyre Square for the All-Ireland football final on 24 July.
Cllr Cubbard said that it has been a long enough wait for a senior football final, with our last appearance being 2001.
Galway qualified for the All-Ireland Final after an impressive victory over Derry on Saturday at Croke Park.
Damien Comer scored both of Galway’s goals, guaranteeing the Tribesmen victory.
Kerry now awaits in the final after the Kingdom edged past Dublin on Sunday with the last kick of the game.
Cllr Cubbard said that after a brilliant result for Alan Glynn and our Galway Minor side, we have every chance now to make it a minor and senior double.
