Emergency services were called to Lower Salthill yesterday afternoon after a man was knocked down.
The injured man (40) was taken to University Hospital Galway following the incident which took place just before 4pm.
A section of the road in Lower Salthill past O’Connor’s pub was closed to traffic for a few hours as it was examined by Garda FCIs.
The road has since fully reopened to traffic. Witnesses are asked to contact Salthill Garda Station 091 514 720.
