Enjoy the bank holiday weekend with a selection of free live music gigs and performances in Galway, sure to be great craic.

From Friday to Monday, Ceol an tSamhraidh will be presenting free performances in Ballinasloe, Tuam, Headford, and bringing life to the Quiet Man Station in Ballyglunin.

The collection of performances will kick off on Friday evening with a night of beautiful live music featuring some of Irelands greatest performers.

Eleanor Shanley and John Feeley in addition to the talented Ultan Conlon and Band take to the stage at 8pm in Ballinasloe Town Hall.

Simultaneously, at the famous Quiet Man Station in Ballyglunin, the captivating drumming group, Drumadore will entertain an audience followed by Tuam Comhaltas trad music group.

Then, on Saturday the Quiet Man station will get loud once again, with two free concerts.

First up, the Fuse Music Collective will present this year’s emerging local live performer’s such as Ellen Quinn Keane and Reylta at 4pm followed by an evening event at 8pm with The Whileaways.

Featuring their captivating melodies and heart-warming songs, The Whileaways harmonic trio of Noriana Kennedy, Nicola Joyce and Noelie McDonnell are known for their melodic live performances.

Next up, Choice Music Prize Award-winning artist Julie Feeney will perform at The Mall Theatre in Tuam with special guest Rachel at 8pm, Sunday.

To round off this action-packed bank holiday weekend, Little John Nee will give a special family friendly performance featuring a warm mix of songs and musical storytelling at 2pm on Monday 6th of June at Monaghan’s Mega Marquee in Headford, with support by Tara Stacey

Events are supported by Galway County Council Arts Office and funded through the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media Local Live Performance Scheme.
