Two Galway city restaurants have secured Michelin stars in the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2022.
Loam, located just off Eyre Square, retained its Michelin Star as well as JP McMahon’s Aniar on Dominick’s Street.
A total of 21 restaurants in Ireland were awarded stars in this year’s Michelin Guide, which is heralded as the benchmark for excellence for restaurants.
Nineteen restaurants across Ireland and Britain were newly awarded one star, taking the total number of one starred restaurants in the 2022 guide to 164.
Éan restaurant, wine bar, and bakery was awarded the coveted Michelin Bib Gourmand status earlier in the week – one of three new Irish additions to the Bib Gourmand guide.
The Bib Gourmand guide recognises establishments that offer a simple yet skilfully delivered three-course meal for under €40.
