The Loughrea based pharmaceutical company Chanelle is seeking planning permission for a new factory on the edge of town.
Plans have been submitted to the county council for a factory with associated offices and warehouse on Greeneenagh, Loughrea.
The development will have a gross floor space of 1,599.5sqm, on a site of approximately 3.69ha
The site in question at the IDA Industrial Facility is zoned for industrial usage.
Galway County Council is due to make a decision on this planning application by December 16.
Chanelle declared in 2018 that its plans create 350 new jobs at a new manufacturing facility in Loughrea for liquid and paste medicines bound for the US market.
