Gardaí are investigating a home burglary in the Headford Road area, where the thieves made off with a car as well as other items.

A house in the Headford Road area of Galway City was broken into in the early hours of Friday, November 5.

It is believed that the burglary in Cluain Riocaird occurred between 1:30am and 7:45pm that morning.

A number of expensive electronics were stolen from inside the house such as a PlayStation 4 console, a 42-inch Panasonic tv, a Lenovo laptop, and a Toshiba external hard drive.

A silver Ford Mondeo with the registration 12-WX-3486 was also stolen during the burglary, and is still missing.

Gardaí say that no arrests have been made, and that investigations are ongoing.
