UHG is once again the most overcrowded hospital in the country today, with 54 patients on trolleys.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says that there are another 19 patients without a bed at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
All told, there are 499 patients on trolleys in Ireland’s acute hospitals as of this morning.
After University Hospital Galway, the worst affected today are Limerick and Letterkenny University Hospitals,
Each of those two hospitals have 50 patients waiting for a bed after being admitted.
