There has been a slight decrease in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases at Galway’s public hospitals in the latest data from the HSE.
On Tuesday evening, there were 25 people with COVID receiving care at University Hospital Galway and just one person with the disease at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
Five of the 25 people with COVID-19 at UHG were in the intensive care unit at 8pm yesterday.
Nationally there were 334 confirmed cases in hospital on Tuesday evening.
The HSE data shows that there were two ICU beds available at UHG and none at Portiuncula Hospital, while there are 12 general beds available at UHG.
