UHG remains the hospital with the highest number of COVID-19 cases nationwide after an outbreak, but there has been no increase in the ICU admissions.
There were 31 confirmed cases at University Hospital Galway as of Monday night, one fewer than the day before.
But despite the outbreak which has occurred in the hospital, the latest HSE figures show that the number of COVID patients in the ICU remains unchanged at seven
UHG has brought together an Outbreak Control Team in response to a COVID-19 outbreak at the hospital.
A second ward dedicated to patients of the virus is also bring created at the hospital in response to the outbreak.
Th number of confirmed case at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe has also increased again to six, and of those two are being treated in the ICU.
Nationwide, there are 304 confirmed cases in Irish hospital, of whom 60 have been admitted to the ICU.
