A Garda chase on the N17 yesterday came to an end when a dangerous driver collided with two other vehicles.
A man in his 20s is due before court today in connection with dangerous driving which resulted in a road traffic collision at Killaloonty in Tuam on Thursday afternoon.
Gardaí received report of a vehicle engaged in dangerous driving on the N17 and commenced a managed containment operation when the vehicle failed to stop.
The incident only came to end end when the driver collided with two other vehicles.
Fortunately, Gardaí say that there were no injuries reported as a result of this collision.
The driver, a male in his 20s was arrested and conveyed to Tuam Garda Station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
He has since been charged and is scheduled to appear before Castlerea District Court this morning.
