A Galway man has been sent forward for trial at the Circuit Court for multiple sexual offences against a person in Oranmore in the 80s.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with six counts of indecent assault on a female on dates between June and August 1985.
Garda Claire Harney gave evidence that the book of evidence had been served on the accused before Galway District Court that morning.
Judge Mary Fahy made an order sending the case to the next sitting of Galway Circuit Court in June.
The accused man was returned for trial on bail with the same conditions previously set by the court.
Legal aid was awarded for solicitor Gearoid Geraghty and one junior counsel.
The judge also directed that reporting restrictions should continue
