Further disruption is expected to rail travel between Galway and Dublin this weekend due to line improvement works taking place.
Irish Rail is carrying out engineering works on the line between Hazelhatch and Newbridge on Saturday and Sunday, May 22 – 23.
This will result in some planned train services between Galway and Dublin being either cancelled, delayed, or operating as bus transfers.
The more significant level of disruption is expected on Saturday, where multiple Galway/Heuston trains will be bus transfers from Athlone into Dublin, and one train Heuston/Galway train is cancelled.
